looks like I'll have my lowering blocks this weekend I'll have to start posting pictures so when she's all done I can look back n see how far I came

well I started installing my lowering blocks tonight and ran into a problem... the u bolts that came with the blocks are about an inch or so to long and when tightening the nuts my deep socket bottoms out on the threads before I can tighten the nuts all the way... wish I had a dremmel to cut the threads shorter. now I don't know what to do, have to figure it out tomorrow.

besides running into this little speed bump I'm happy I got to start wrenching on my truck! Definitely not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. hopefully by the end of tomorrow she'll be sitting low

i used a 4 1/2 cut-off wheel on a grinder when i did mine if u dont have that bust out a hack saw with a good blade i also used a opened end ratcheting wrench then i cut mine off

Ended up using a open end wrench... took forever lol will cut the excess off soon. now I'm onto the torsion bars... and of course the bolt at the hook is stripped... finally got it out and fixed... on to the passenger side firewall now.

picked up some bucket seats out of a Honda yesterday, perfect condition except they were really light gray color and there were stains all over but for 40$ I couldn't say no. I saw this stuff at the auto parts store called fabric and vinyl paint from duplicolor, figured what the hell I'll give it a shot. I got the flat Black and started spraying........ actually works pretty well! took about 1 can per seat and I have a 3rd to touch up with tomorrow but si far they actually look pretty good. When I get finished I'll post picks.

any one ever use this stuff before? been reading about it and so far everyone seems to like it. was worth the effort to try on some cheap seats. can't wait to put them in the truck!

... anything I need to know about installing the Honda seats?

lol I got then from a guy who had them mounted in a samurai, they were to wide for the truck but I think he said they were from a crx... could be wrong though. I know he said it was a two door.

dude they look so awesome! I painted the plastic covers on the sides green and it looks sick! so excited to put them in when there all done!....... only problem is there going to stick out like a sore thumb with the stock colored interior lol hopefully I'll have the rest done and painted soon so it'll all match. need to find a place that sells black carpet kits, get a new dash that's in better shape, do some fiberglass work (when I learn how to fiber glass lol) and the interior is going to be awesome. I'm having so much fun working on this truck and doing it all for cheap. may not be "sema show quality" when I'm done but ill enjoy it.

my new Honda seats. freshly painted. started out all light gray. This is a idea of what the rest of the interior will look like
