I have had my Truck for around 10 years. It went through a lot of progress in the first year or so but every time I get on a roll with it, something stops me dead in my tracks, (Painted it, then blown motor, rebuild, then rear end gernade, Fix it, and body lift, Accident -front and rear-, sat for a while then Fixed it again, rattle canned it, etc.) and yet I still Fix it, then break it, and so on. Somehow I have managed to keep this awesome little truck running... I will be posting pics as I go.
Some back story, got this truck from my uncle who had it sitting in the drive way for around 5 years or so. He gave it to me as a daily and I fixed up some of the body. Here is a short album of what it has gone through. Unfortunately my camera was stolen with most of the pics on it but I can dig some more up later. " target="_blank" target="_blank

Nice Spacemonkee23! You must be close to California or Canada to have a EFI B2200 truck!

You know your truck inside and out after all of that, and that's why you hang onto it! Even though you've had a few mishaps with it, you still care enough to get her back going again.......and that's how it should be! Say's a lot about your character!

Thanks for sharing the pics and the adventures, and I sure hope you get a long operating period out of her now!

In for updatez!

Yes Earl I am in CA, bay area. It's nice having fuel injection (and no EGR) but at the same time smog laws are a bitch here! I was failed because of my intake tube and headers more than a few times, every two years I have to put a bunch of stuff back to stock just to pass. They even tried to fail me because the hood sticker for emissions was for a 2600i when I got my bubble hood, there are some crazy strict smog techs out here!
Aside from that here is a quick update. The Wrecking Yard down the street had a sale this weekend and I finally put some buckets in her. 2000 dodge neon seats, not my first choice but they were the closest drop in I could find (well 3 out of 4 bolts is OK with me) and the color matches perfectly and I got some rear trim and carpet for the back wall (reg cab & not installed yet). Plus the seats are way more comfortable than the old torn to Sh** bench I had in there. The only issues are my sub doesn't fit too well anymore and the seats don't fold forward (meh). I guess its time for a custom box and integrate a center console!

In the future I'm hoping that when my son is old enough we will make this little B a nice project car for him... Like it was for me (hopefully without all the issues). That is if I am willing to give her up. lol

Thanks Guys!

Hi everyone,
Here is a new update on the next venture with my B. I have decided to fab up some budget HID cutoff projector headlights, using some old factory audi A4 projectors and HID ballasts I have lying around. With some cheap ebay lights that I will cut up to integrate them into. Plus I recently purchased a 105Amp Chevy 3 wire alternator that should bolt up pretty well with a flip and long bolt. I might even build a new sub enclosure to fit between the new buckets if I have time.

Stock Audi Headlights with projectors removed and factory ballast

The $45 headlight conversion from ebay with yellow LEDs that will be Turn signals or daytime running lights, maybe both they will get cut up and integrated with the Audi HID projectors. - Lens is glass housing is Fiberglass.

$65 brand new 3wire GM alternator. (B+,12v sig, batt light) gonna do some 4 gague wire for the B+ too. (my EFI only has 2 wires on the alt pigtail)

I should get around to it next week or so. Ill do a write up if people want after I post some pics of the work. Wish me luck.

Ok here is an update if anyone is interested, Hit the JY yesterday and they dropped a B-2600i right in front of me! first dibs!
had a camper on it and when I opened it up there was this custom bed interior that I yanked out. Got it for 50 bucks...plus I put some 2600i full door panels and a perfect dash pad underneath it all (that they didn't check for) best JY trip for me to date.

PICS!

I'll post the Door panels when I get them in.

Since the new door panels have a pocket where my current speakers are (and I would like to keep them)... where should I relocate my 6.5"s too? is there enought room for them in the Kick panels?

Kick panels eh? Fiberglass is your friend...

Thats an idea I have tossed around but I dont want to lose the foot space as I frequently have passengers and would not like them to kick everything around. I posted this in anther thread, care to offer some constructive criticism?

I don't know how I would like to hear everything coming from the center though... defeats the purpose of 'Stereo'. but it seems do able.

Thanks mang.

There's no way you'd fit something like that in a standard cab. Much much too long. Cut it in half and maybe that's what you have to work with.

That bed interior is a pretty cool score for sure.

Yeah I am going to "build" it out of card board to see if it is even possible, but I do agree it seems too large but I did just toss it together in MS paint, haha. I don't have all that fancy 3D simulator software to work with so card board will have to suffice.

Plus the Dodge neon seats I have in there are pretty thin so I have around 13- 14 inches between the seats. I'll mock it up and play around with it until I find some better means.

Thanks for the input.
