I find it hard to believe that u can cut and weld but cant fabricate your own 4 link and brackets...

its not a case of not being able to fabricate stuff!
We modify and fabricate items for race engines and general small parts for cars all the time. But cutting heavy steel with an angle grinder or at best the plasma cutter is untidy and tedious, and getting heavy duty steel items cut locally is simply not possible. There are only 2 machine shops within 100 miles that will cnc cut 8mm steel plate but they only deal with large construction companys looking at large quantity orders and charge the earth for small one off orders.

Building stuff over here is ridiculously expensive, fuel is expensive, food is expensive everything is more expensive than over there which is why so many are fleeing blighty for warmer shores.

This is an example of what it would cost on a like for like basis (universal kit)......
threaded bush ends = $80 each x8 $640
bushes to fit in ends = $24 per end x8 $192
threaded inserts = $40 each x8 $320
thats over $1100 right there and thats without tubes or mounting plates.

so what would you do?

Thanks for the link

Check sadistic iron works, nfamus, lowrider depot, modplant. Theres tons of places and they should be willing to help out. U are going to need measurements and know what u want though.

And theres nothin wrong with an angle grinder and a plasma. I find it hard to believe that u dont have a bender or a notcher if u r building race cars.

Cheers for that , il start my enquiries.

Our folding/bending press only bends up to 5mm mild steel as most of our stuff is lightweight alloy or more recently carbon fibre. I cant remember the last time anyone wanted anything made of steel unless it was a stainless exhaust system.
Our pipe bender is a nice bit of kit but were a little way off building exhausts for this thing yet
