I traded into this truck, and since I have become the owner I have done general upkeep and maintenance for reliability and my own piece of mind.

Here is what I know about the truck.

1987 b2200
2.0 (has 2.0 on timing belt cover)
5 spd
bodied (previous owner said 4"...)
4 link bag on axle
eskies
shaved doors and fuel door and tailgate handle
welded rollpan

Future Plans

wheels
repaint
ranger bumper
ranger lights

interior done
engine bay clean up and paint

Now, I think something is keeping the front from laying to be honest...maybe the radius arms? it just look up in the side views...

Cool truck. Have you looked to see if its just the engine crossmember keeping the front from laying flat? Mazdas habe that problem but yours may be something else, just throwing that out there. Make sure to post your updates.

I wouldn't do the ranger bumper. Then it would look too much like a ranger. The whole point, to me anyway, in having a Mazda is that it is different. but to each his own. Show lots of pics when/if you do it.

I love this truck man! I am really digging the color. Also, if you want a picture of a Mazda with a ranger bumper, I am running a 2nd gen Ranger bumper on mine. Sweet truck though, good luck with the build.
