just an update.

Since I last posted, the truck has been ridden daily for quite some time as my jeep's tranny took a crap. Ive done some work to the interior, mainly shortening the throw of the shifter, adding a head unit and the window scraper seals changed.

Also a fellow club member gave me the maltese cross motorcycle mirrors off our fellow buddies truck (he was killed in a gas pipeline accident when we were "budding" mini truckers). I have since put mirror deletes on and put one of the mirrors on and working on the other one now.

Over the weekend I met up with b2600bomber (Billy) and traded into these sweet wheels. They fit, but only If I do alot of finessing. The bracing on the bedsides will have to be cut out and the front end I'll have to camber the wheels a little bit when full lift to get them to clear the fenders as it drops. Also, the tire size is too large. Going to drop down to a 205/40r16 which is 1" less OD than my 205/40r17's on the eskies.

here's a quick photoshop I did to show the rims on the truck.

They are Eagle Alloy Series 171's. 16x8.5" i'm guessing by my tape measure Discontinued, but in dang good shape. Gonna take some acid and clean them up real good, then power ball the crap outta them this winter to get them ready for spring and buy some tires for them.

Future Plans for the Winter:

Toyota 2wd chrome bumper and painted valance (already have just not mounted)
ranger headlights
eclipse bubble over the hole in the hood (need to find one...it's like pulling teeth round here)
2 new front fenders
hopefully spray everything to match the truck for the show season.

Gonna look good on there!!! I haven't even got a chance to change all of mine out yet. I got a temporary job at another shop right below my house to help out while people are on vacation. I did manage to get one wheel on there so far lol. Keep up the good work man.

Quick Update on my Snail Slow Project LOL...

Got a new bed to body instead of working with the bed that was on it. New bed has already has a cali combo welded in, just need to body. Also going to move my fuel cell over and use the factory fuel door if I can find a factory neck/filler tube to bolt into place on the bed.

Also, still no luck with the eclipse bubble on the hood or the new fenders, but did swap around for a 2wd toy bumper (gotta make mounts). Slowly but surely.

Slow is fine just as long as it's not going to waste. Im looking forward to seeing your new bed with the cali combo on it along with the wheels. Should look great.
