1990 b2200 mini truck resto/update

SO.... a guy i kinda knew sent me a text one day about a month ago " I have a low rider for trade online it needs a motor but it is bagged" then he sends me some pictures, then " i have the car facts on it too". so i told him i would trade him my non running 94 ranger not thinking he was going to do it. but hey guess you already know he did.

so now i had to find a motor and thought to myself maybe i can trade for it... so i decided on a boat project i had not gotten a chance to get to yet.. so i looked on Craigslist found a few potential donor trucks sent out 3 texts about trading the boat for their trucks 5 min later i was making plans to trade for a 89 b2200 with 75k original miles on it with documentation. spent most of its life in the ownership of the US DOD.

while waiting till i had money to buy a clutch kit for the new project i started removing badly wired alarms and door popper remote brains. the wiring was tore up in this truck fixed what i could deleted what wasn't needed anymore.. and added a push button switch for the driver door popper.

what i know so far about this truck is whoever built the truck the first time did a really good job. and a wouldn't doubt someone might have seen this truck b4 and recognize it on here. doors shaved, tailgate shaved and plate frenched, gas door shaved, antenna shaved, with all old-school tweed interior.

now the bad truck wipers are slow door panels warped. found a snake skin in the dash while fixing wires, gas tank needs replaced, breaks replaced, and more to find i am sure.

& now what i would like to fixed or do to the truck, new wheels, c notch, 4 link, update interior, tint windows, install high end car audio, rfid key less entry w/ push button start, ect....

That is exactly what it is. The welds are very nice. They did a good job putting it in there.

well the truck is running but was leaking gas. so am going to transplant the tank from the 89 into the 90. but while i was under there i noticed the carrier bearing on the drive shaft needs replaced. should i do this myself or should I hire a shop? is this hard to do?

Let me know how this goes. My B2000 did not have one, but the B2200 I'm using now has one that needs replacing. I haven't done too much research into it yet.

So came up with another issue as soon as I hooked the vacuum line from the carb to the advance it goes full advance and idles at 2k I have tried hooking it to carb and to intake with no change.. Anyone have any ideas??
