I recognize that now that you mention it. I like the FB ones too! This is nice also, but it wouldn't fit with the theme of the truck:

Those are pretty cool.

Thanks, gotta few rust issues i have to fix on it soon. Needs a spot on rocker panel and passenger side front bed corner and over fender wells. But 20 odd years in maine its to be expected. Im gonna be followin this thread diggin the idea. Got eventual plans for a static drop on 3inch blicks with front a lil lower. Turbo added on way down the road lol. But i found a cali shaved tailgate/rollpan combo im adding sooner than wanted to fix rollpan rust for state inspections. But def keep updatin im excited see where you go with this build.

Thanks dude, glad to see my idea's well received! Like I said, I'm probably going to get a DJM kit(3" drop front, 4" drop rear) in the coming month or 2. For now I'm just trying to clean it up as best as I can without spending too much money at a time. Repainting and getting wheels and tires will take some time to buy. I happened to stumble across a turbo kit on ebay a few days ago and I considered building the 2.2, but I think I'm going to go with my original idea and swap it. I talked to my friend about it and he suggested the Chevy Vortec 4.3 V6, so that's probably what I'll go with. I know, it contradicts the theme of the truck a bit doesn't it? Lol I wouldn't mind a rotary swap, but let's be honest. I wouldn't have the first clue on how to work on one(although said friend has pretty good amount of experience, him and his friend have FC's), and I don't know how well I'd keep up with the maintenance. One day I might get an FB to play around with though, they're cheap and lighter than an FC!

A carb'd 13b with sidedrafts would be badass

Ive been tossing it up drop money an bore n boost the 2.2 just to say hey look... the b smoked your ride n im not swapped lol. Or do the kia sportage swap. But in financial aspect the 2.2 build is a better route for me to go. And i understand whatyamean on cleanin it up. Luckily i found a one owner with 84k miles interior is perfect just the damn rust!!! And unfortunately i cant weld but the cali shaved tailgate rollpan will save me lots time in long run. But once all my rust is fixed im going through with the weber/pacesetter swap and ranger headlights.

what kind of performance could I be looking at? I'd like to be able to go faster than 120(only ever could get it to 87 though LOL) and do it in a relatively short time. I don't want to run 14-16 like a lightly modded Civic xD I know it will take some work, considering this engine runs 18-20's and only has about 75hp, but if I can get some decent power out of it I'll definitely consider it!

Honestly im not sure, i guess depends on the turbo size cam profile etc. Im looking at a website for bored over pistons with full rebuild kit under 1k. But im going with the 38deg outlaw weber off the at due to future plans. But i can let ya know down the road lmao. But for what you are asking id say the chevy swap would be an easier route to attain the goals you ask.

Why go through all the trouble of a pacesetter and weber if you plan on going forced induction?

No offense man but its not worth turbocharging a 2.0 or 2.2. You might be able to run like 8 lbs. The motor is garbage to start out with =/ I think the kia swap is a good swap that you could either leave n/a or boost. Its a waaayyy better platform. Youd just be wasting money on the 2.2. On that another note...dont buy cheap bov, or wastegates. A cheap turbo is ok. But I wouldnt skimp on them
