I was told that yes you can go ahead and pull/cut all of that out except for the blue wires if you plan on using your wipers. I think cusser and SinCity even said you can pull the ecu if you are planning on running a Weber carb but I'm not for sure. I found this thread on mazdatrucking maybe this will help ya bro.

Yep I have the ECU unplugged in the black truck but I haven't wire tucked it yet. On this one I figured while I have the head and intake off why not.

Here it is so far today

I used a generic aftermarket fuel filter as I am trying to clean this one up as much as possible. I cut off probably a foot or so of wasted line.

I am going to end up shaving the intake while it is off. Get rid off all those unused vacuum ports. Like this but I think I will leave 1 or 2 more ports on it.

I vacuumed then shampooed the carpet. Didn't get all the stains out but I did get the wet dog smell out.

Would these seats look weird in a blue truck? The rest of the interior is the same. These are the buckets in my black truck. Still undecided on other seat options. I might end up parting out the black truck to make my blue one whole. It has more miles but is in much better shape.

Nissan wheels look great on this. It is not lowered yet. imagine it 4 inches down and 205's60r15's instead of the staggered set.

I didn't get too far on the Ranger swap.

I did get farther on the motor. Now comes the ultimate decision. Should I do an FE3??
That way I can still keep my black turd as a running turd.
I am not the best at wiring but everything else seems simple. I think finding the donor car would be the hardest part.

To who has done it. IS IT WORTH IT?

Looking good bro like the wheels on it a lot! New tires that are all the same size will look even better. And I see you're starting on the Ranger head light conversion....I'm jealous haha can't wait to do mine too. Going to look really good once you get the conversion done and drop that thing!

This might help you out on your decision on weather or not to do a FE3 swap or not. I know our stock F2 engines are between 100-110 hp and only SOHC with 8V head so that in it's self is an upgrade to a DOHC and higher HP but this is what I found.....

It is still commonly called the FE3 because of its head castings. The FE-DOHC shares the same dimensions as the original FE-SOHC, including the square 86 mm bore
