Been fixing this truck up for the last few months. 134K miles. Welded in Civic seats, replaced the carpet, replaced missing/broken dash pieces and cracked radio box. Still got to paint first of the year, and need another chrome rear bumper.

Thx guys, after driving back and forth to the beach I am thinking swapping the rear axle out with a 4x4 truck. The auto trans was down shifing too much. Apparently the 2wd 2600 came with 373 gear instead of the 390 like 2200. The 4x4 has 430 gear. I need research if the springs are the same length from perch to hanger. I think the yoke is different also.

Yeah they put the 373 with the auto trans to help with fuel efficiency. My 2.2 has the smaller axles but has the 3.9 rear. I guess that's why I mine can handle the 265/65/15s in the rear.

How did you lift the b? And what wheel and tire combo are you running? It looks awesome.

Me, I'm running a set of 15x7 American Eagle Pacer wheels with 265s in the rear and 235s in the front (what I had layin around.) The front is lifted with indexed and cranked torsion bars, 95% turned in, currently with stock shocks but will get replacements 3" taller. Rear has lift shackles and a helper leaf spring added to the pack.

After typjng this I realized I put my photos in the OPs other thread. My bad. Lol.

Take the torsion bar out, and rotate it by 3 teeth. clockwise for driver side and counter clockwise for passenger. Works the same for lowering but do the opposite. It allows for more lift but increases the tension on the bars and bolt.
To alieve some of the extra tension I will be making spacers for the ball joints. Solid aluminum 1.5" thick secured with grade 10.9 bolts (metric thread after all.)

Im guessing if you don't make spacers for the ball joints the extra pressure can snap the torsion bar or the bolt?
