got my alternator on and everything, but cant get it to charge, got like 2.5v to my one wire and 12v at the other, from my understanding its just the two wires right? charge light comes on in dash but dont go out even while runing.....

anyone have some cut and dry instructions on what to wire where? im almost thinking that regulator on amp is bad.

There needs to be an "ignition on" 12 volt signal that excites the regulator.
If it isn't present, the alternator will never charge.

So 3 wires from my truck go to the alternator/Ford harness?

noticed only my 2.5 v is constant... key on or off, but i dont have a 12v constant, the other two wires come on with the key, shouldnt i have a 12v constant going to the alt as well?

Post up a few pics of the alternator.

second thing i noticed, is the other wire that comes from the truck thats not the 2.5v one, has nothing untill the key is just on, then it has 12v. then when harness is plugged into the alternator it drops to 2.5v.... so i have two 2.5V wires at the alt ... instead of a 12 and a 2.5....????

wtf

my wires are: white and black, and , black and white, then there is another wire that is key on power that is

? 130 amp alternator upgrade for the b2200 for under 150.00 also you can go to tech write ups and it tells you how to do it there also
