thats pretty interesting, So its a 2.0 with Weber carb eh. Did you have any other mods besides the weber? Im actually trying to keep the nikki carb and just upgrading the exhaust components.

Only the carb and a "custom" exhaust. I took out the mazda catalyst, left in the pre cat and the factory exhaust manifold. Sold the cat and welded up some old pipes with a couple of resonators from an F150. Sounds cool, looks like garbage and did pass emissions here in Georgia.

Exhaust upgrade will benefit you well. The carb would be better. You would have to tune it yourself for temperature and elevation though. That is the trade off for removing all of the other sensors and controls on the factory carb setup. I like tuning mine with the seasons and don't change elevation enough to tune for that.

I would love to tow, zspeed10 was your truck a b2000? I have a B2600i 4x4, if I put a pacesetter headers and a flowmaster exhaust as well as a cone intake would I be able to tow reasonably? I bought this truck as a first truck and have'nt got my license yet but would like to be able to tow! My father and friends do a large amount of towing (firewood, hunting, biking) and don't wanna be left to far behind (or over work my motor).

No prob with to heavy of loads on tounge!

Any kind of stablizers or sway bars I could install so I don't wobble off the road?

You wont find a header if you have a b2600i... Trust me, I should know. I have a b2600i and the only place you can purchase a premade set is out of Australia for the Ford Courier 2.6 (same motor, same truck, just a Mazda rebadged to be a Ford) and they are $310, not including shipping, and those of us who have checked into it, none of the places will ship to the USA.

Other option is to make your own.

i have a 3in aluminum intake tube with spectre filter on the end connected directly to the mass air flow sensor for my intake, the air recirc box right before the throttle body has been deleted,

the charcoal canister has been removed from the emissions circuit, 2 1/4in single piece exhaust from the downpipe (my exhaust is essentially a 2 piece system, stock exhaust manifold is one section and downpipe to the magnaflow is all one section), into a 2 1/4in magnaflow muffler and a turndown tip. no catalytic converter. downpipe had 1in section cut out to tuck the exhaust up to not hang lower than the frame of my truck.

not that tucked exhaust would matter for your 4wd...

I have a reese class 3 hitch and have done quite my fair share of towing with it. i'm pretty sure you'd be good to go with your own setup. please forgive this very old photo, but note that its a good reference photo of how i mounted my tow hitch. i did however flip the actual receiver part to raise the hitch up a couple inches as i sit pretty low...

i did add load carrying shocks which give an additional 500lbs of carry capacity

i hope this can help answer some of your 2600i related questions.

YA thanks alot! Saved some serious searching! The charcole canister is the box over the head right? Any noticeable difference and will it F#$% my motor? I have a straight pipe right now, with no cats, exhaust. Have a flowmaster or magnaflow (not sure) exhaust, 1 inport and 2 out. After these mods should I reset my computer (take off ground and turn key on for 20 secs)?

Definately is gonna have an actual hitch reciever! Sorry for hijacking your thread, hope these help with your questions as well Rotary84

the charcoal canister is the large black cylinder thing on the passenger side inner fender that recirculates fuel fumes or something... that black box that is on top the valve cover that is connected to the air intake tubing is an air recirc box of some sort. i dont see why not as far as resetting the computer... i've never tried it... but my truck does have its moments when the battery has been drained, or i've disconnected the battery for some time... the bits and pieces of minor "performance" upgrades that i've done, i seem to have been able to feel a difference between stock and after the change, but that could just be my mind playing tricks. i tend to see 22-24mpg city, 28-30 highway

so let me get this straight.

If I Have

A New Motor, Pace setter header, Weber Carb, 5 Speed, Reinforced Braced Class 3/4 Hitch I should be able to tow a 1900 LB Travle trailer?

Is that what you all get from this thread?

Trying to camp (with out a tent) Cheaply.
