Well I've put a Honda goldwing in the bed of mine and I wouldn't suggest it. (I couldn't bail out I was I the middle of nowhere and my l
Help to load/unload had left...) I had to take it 140 miles on backroads and it was sketchy as hell! I only went like 45 tops and that was hard to do... Nothing broke or bent but my shocks are toast!
Learn from my mistakes...

I put a 1200 lb 40 inch toolbox (top and bottom) in my truck and it road pretty smooth at 60 it did ruin the shocks but they where prob. shot anyways. So you can put quite a bit into our trucks without damaging too much.

Dogfather: A B2200 Mazda modded as u describe MIGHT develop 100 hp and 130 ft pounds of torque. It will pull 1000 pounds with not much problem, 1500 pounds with problems and 2000 pounds with major issues. If u insist on making a towpig out of a B series, get a B2600i (120 hp stock) or even better get a 1994 Maz B4000 with a V-6. U will be so much better off.I tow a 500 pound Kawasaki KZ1000 and 800 pound light aluminum bike trailer with my modded to the hilt 2200 and it is a strain.Beware of cooling issues when u tow as well--B series have small 1 row radiators and weak fans. Get 13-14 inch electric pull thru fan if u are going to tow much--saves hp and cools better. An automatic radiator fits the same space and has 2 rows of cooling tubes - better yet.bj

I've had 5 people in cab, 1 quad on the tray and 4 bikes on a trailer and she moves ok.
The real test is two horses in a horse float with 2 people and a bunch of gear in the tray... slow but with such a nice wheel base it tows nicely, the rear end gets pushed about a little bit going down hill. Wouldn't want to do it in the wet.
Installed a heavy duty tow bar off the chassis rails, the bumper one is good for nothing!
The missus loaded it up with hay on the tray until the bump stops were well compressed and came home like that once.
Awesome little trucks
Actually the current (and still stalled) engine swap was to make her tow 1500kg cherry pickers around a bit better
Thankfully the 2.5td 2005 courier 4x4 is now the work horse.

i towed an 18' boat with mine completely stock once, key word is once, the boat weighs roughly 1800 lbs and i never went above 45 in 4th gear, and the truck had a helluva time getting the boat out of the water.

Here are some of the things I have towed with my B2200 recently, its a stock EFI 5 speed model with a cold air intake.

This is me pulling a Kawasaki Ultra 300X.

This is me with a 2013 Arctic Cat XF1100 Turbo mostly in the back, its 850lb by itself and has over double the horsepower of my truck at 240hp lol.

This is me with a Kawasaki 450 race quad in the box, and pulling a Kawasaki Mule 4X4 on the trailer, in the snow/ice.

I also had 2 adventure bikes (Triumph Explorer & Moto Guzzi Selvito) at 600+lbs each in the trailer, and 2 dirt bikes in the truck. I could feel I had some weight there lol, made me laugh thinking that each bike on the trailer had more hp than my truck.

Well Thanks Guys I put to Fat Boys in the Cab today and drove to Vancouver Wa, Slowed to 60 going up hill so Yeah I don't think towing is going to amount to much, and only got 21 MPG....I'm Not Happy. Thought I should at least pull 27MPG....

Keep in mind that just because you have the horsepower to tow something doesn't mean that you should. With to much weight behind you, you can easily become the dog being wagged by the tail.

I was right behind and accident that was identical to this one. It was a full size ford van towing a stock car racing trailer. As soon as he got up to speed on the interstate, the oscillations started and it flipped him before he had a chance to slow down.

Thanks Scotch! No Really Thanks! It's Nice to see people actually Step up and say something. The Only thing I will be towing with this little Gutless Mazda Is My Fat Azz!

I can't get to 70 at the end of the entrance ramp leave alone try and tow a trailer...
