O sorry man, Just looking for some advice eather i want help locating a 12v bongo head and a 929 carb set up, or help with ecm to do a 1.8 6 speed miata covnversion with sidedraft...

Jenko Just took a 12v with carb set up off his truck but i can't seem to get, a hold of him.... He is busy. but i just stumbleld on to this set up and i think the 1.8 with a 6 speed is a better set up.

I found the 1.8 with trans on Ebay for $1,200 and found 12v engine $600 pluss $400 for intake. Same price but 1.8 better HP and less shipping cost.

interesting that is a miata motor yeah? I know if you run a megasquirt you can get it to operate.

Ok so a megasquirt, Where, when, and how.....? IF I was to do this is there any tech support? I know that the coils have to be ran buy ICM as also the crank sensor. I hope I get some help..... This forum used to be realy helpful, when I did my weber conversion, but tech section is under construction.

I doubt you're going to find a how to that explains exactly what you want to do but here is a link to a bunch of megasquirt documentation.

How would you make the search better? I haven't started the search functionality for the new site but I could use some feed back.

When you do a search it does search for your search terms in threads but what do you expect to get instead? Is it that it just gathers everything and doesn't appear to rank the results?

i would suggest a sub-forum filter that allows you to only search in some of the forum sections and not the whole site at once
that would help narrow down results

The 12v 2 liter Maz
SOHC head has the distributor at the wrong end so u will need to clearance the firewall.The 1.8 Miata DOHC head will require Megasquirt fuel mapping or the equivalent and wont be worth all the trouble.The Kia 1995-96 DOHC 2 liter FI head is a much easier swap and will also require Megasquirt or equivalent mapping and lots of guys on here have done Kia swaps. Tech support? U have to be kidding--peeps on this site ARE the tech support for such swaps.The 4 liter Chebby V-6 with carb and THC350 auto is also a possibility as is just hopping up the 2.2 Maz motor with cam and Webber carb.All depends on how deep are ur pockets and how fast do u want to go.bj

There is a bongo swap that has the dizzy in the front duh! They are not from the US. Read!!! Do some research. Google it, there is a bongo 12v swap that has the dizzy in the and a 929 carb manifold that bolts right up. Gee I seem to remember that truck in Mazdabecene
