I didnt know where to put this, so i decided general, moderators please feel free to put this where it should go.

So i started my wire tuck the other day, and so far i have routed the primary wiring harness back around to the driver side, im relocating the battery, as well as the main fuse block that was on the pass side fender, to the cab to help clean up the engine bay. I am also installing a weber 32/36 so i have removed the ECM and the solenoids/sensors on the passenger fender. My truck does not have a/c or power steering. Pretty much all i want is for the bare minimum required to remain legal(i live in Alabama so no emissions check.) Pretty much all i need are lights, ignition, alternator, gauges, and audio but that will be easy to route since battery will be behind seat.. My question is, which wires will i need that come from the driver side fender? I have tried to find the wiring diagrams for under the hood but i wanna make sure i have the right truck. Its an SE-5, 2wd base model lol. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You need all the wires from the drivers side fender. Only wires you need from the pass side fender are the ones for the wiper motor

This ^^^^^ Just did mine. Id get that battery out of the cab. That is not a good idea.

I agree unless you have an enclosed battery box with a vent tube that u can mount so that fumes leave the cab having a Batt in the cab is a big mistake, and relatively dangerous/toxic for you to breath. No to mention if you're a smoker those fumes are explosive.

Glad to know.. So i can just remove all this stuff thats hanging am already have the weber..is there a way i can remove this mess with cutting it.

Yes, I'm glad others chimed in on the battery thing. When I was 17 I had a CRX and was messing around playing the stereo - which discharged the battery so I was charging it (which produces hydrogen gas) - I went to take off the clamps - well

Yeah i havent done this yet, i was in a bad accident that totaled my miata. I was hit by a damned drunk. Lifted silverado vrs little 1st gen miata...went about how you would expect. Been too sore to really do anything. The only reason i thought of the cab was so it wouldnt get stolen. Im assuming an optima gel battery would be the same?

An optima will be fine in the cab. A regular lead acid battery is a no go in an interior like they said but any AGM battery is fine. I have one in my project behind the drivers seat with mounts welded to the floor. Those wires coming out of the passenger side will come out after you pop them loose from the computer and seperate the 4 wires for the windshield wiper motor. Cut the tape away and seperate everything then you can cut the remaining wires to pull them thru the grommet.

Then im drilling holes in the cab for the battery, any gel type would be fine then? Im also relocating the main fuse panel to inside the cab. Doing a wire tuck at the moment, routing the wires under the front bumper and in between the lights through the factory holes. I drilled the 2 1/2" hole on the inner fender already and i have the harness routed outside now. Unfortunately my side lights all but disintegrated when i removed them when i took the grill off. The alternator was caked in oil, so im writing it off as destroyed, it may have been the primary cause for my choke being so damned high anyways. I have installed the weber and a pacesetter. Also installed a tach since mine came without it, and im clearancing room to install the cd player in the cubby hole on the dash, not the old 80's monitor looking piece. Need to cut some of the sheet metal under the dash for it to fit. Used a dremel to clear away the plastic on the front piece as well as the piece that was reinforcing everything under the vent behind it. The dremel has cleared the way for so many more projects! =D
