I'm having trouble understandig the rope through spark plug hole method. So starting at Piston one I feed the line and it causes the valve to compress with the piston so it can't go anywhere right? Can I do both intake and exhaust valve at the same time?

I haven't ever done this. The theory is to fill the space inside the cylinder with the rope so that the valves cannot fall into the cylinder cavity once you take off the keepers, the rope holds them in place, as nowhere to fall.

I'm already halfway through, just using the air compressor method.

Though I did run into a problem removing the rockers.I couldn't get the cap off next to the cam gear, so I just slid out the 2 Bars. Than while I was ttrying to get off the cap, motor started leaking coolant o.0 hopefully didn't Crack the head haha

Did you remove the cam gear? The front housing that the distributor slides into? That front housing bolts into the front cap. If the piston is up all the way the valves wont drop in. You will need to rotate the crank 180 degrees to do the other two this way.

Did not remove the cam gear, thats probably why the cap wouldn't come off dammit, I was pulling on the back side of the 2 tubes trying to loosen the front cap and coolant started leaking . Hasn't been to hard of a process so far, the old seals were so brittle they feel like glass. That probably explains my start up smoking. I'm probably going to have to go through and remove the bottom timing cover so I can set timing again.

If it smokes just when started your golden. If it smokes longer than a few seconds the oil control rings in the pistons have collapsed and the rings need to be replaced. I hope you didnt hammer too hard. Who knows what could have broken.

It smokes for about 5 minutminutes on first start up of the day

Mine does this too in colder months, like now. But not all the time. I've got the nicer valve Steen seals and valve cover gasket. Just need to do the labor now. Finding the time is the hard part.

Just finished, set timing, now putting it all back together. Wasn't as hard as some people made it out to seem. Now hoping I didn't Crack the head and figure out where that coolant leaked

5 mins? It is the rings.
