I have seen a few comments posted on here about people putting in an RX7 chunk into the factory B2200 rearend. I was wondering what years RX7's would be applicable?
I am looking to put a limited slip differential in my truck.

I've been doing some more research on this topic and wondering if anyone ever used a 3rd member from an 82 RX7 with LSD?
I know the 84-86's work in the B2200's.
The TII's work in the B2600's.

But do first gen RX7's chunks fit?

I want to say yes, I've got a buddy who used a first gen, but I dont know exactly what he did and how for it to work.

I have a lead on one from a fellow coworker. I asked him to take a picture of it. I should be able to determine if it will work by looking at the pic

Well I've heard that if you eat four quarters, you'll shit out a dollar bill. Point being, don't believe everything you ever hear.
The first gen RX7's will not work in our trucks because they have a 24 spline axle and our truck is 26. And the gear ratio you are referring to is the 84-85' GSLSE, which is what I have in my truck.

Ask me how I figured this all out the hard way. I bought an 83 (first gen) and it didn't fit because the axle splines were different.

Edit: I meant to post this link:

Fucking Kovz! You really know how to turn a phrase! Back on topic though will newer rx7 3rd members fit in our rear diffs? Just wondering. And thanks mike for giving me a laugh this morning!!!
