ok where to start lol...
alright well first things first. i ordered a alternator relocation bracket from xtreme rotaries. i had been looking into this for awhile since Jon(magnump5) had purchased one. it came all the way from australia and it was such a nice piece and looked to be very high quality. so once again i followed suit and copied him once again.
this bracket takes the alternator off of the top of the engine and places it on the side out of the way and cleans up the bay a lot.
then i put in an order to Rotary Works. the water neck i have right now, which is stock, was hitting the turbo. so i came across this one that faces towards the radiator instead of going around it.
very quality stuff!
and installed
turns out that this one hit the turbo even worse so i came to a crossroads and finally realized that the turbo manifold i had waited over a year and a half for just wasnt going to work.... more on that later...
so i started tearing shit apart....
well a person can only get so mad and irritated about something before they give up and have to either walk away and work on something else or just junk a project altogether. well i have way to much time and money into this to get rid of it, so i move my sights towards the rear of the truck.
i had been looking for a rear bumper for this truck to get rid of the roll pan for a very long time and i finally came across one in good shape.
so i ground off the paint and filler and got to bare metal to find the welds on the pan.
and cut it out.
bumper set into place.
i also picked up a tailgate. dont remember if i have posted that yet or not lol.
was so happy with the quality of the Rotary Works products that i placed another big order.
turbo feel line and fittings
ten row aluminum oil cooler.
and finally an aluminum radiator from an fb RX7 that fits like a glove!
so a few weeks had passed and i had been doing research again on a turbo manifold and of course i couldnt find anything premade that was going to work so i decided i am going to build my own.
after hours of sitting and staring at the manifold that put my build on hold for a year plus i decided i just needed to start cutting...
i wanted to cut it up in a way that if i had to put it back together or found a way that a minor tweak would work that i could go that direction...
but of course with my luck thats never gonna work, so its time to start from scratch...
thats as far as i got on that for right now, but i think i have a pretty good game plan.
