Ok I have a 86 d50 with the 2.0 inline in it. I bought the truck for $350 for donor body parts but after putting my weber carb on it she ran. One day after taking off from a stop sign she just stopped. Now after sitting I tried to get it running before pulling the motor for a v8 swap. It gets gas to the carb, spark to all plugs but won't start. She turns over but all you hear is the compression come from the exhaust
(like if you turn a compressor pump by hand) She tried firing a coupld times and floored it barely ran, like the choke was on full and flooding is what it sounded like. We messed with the distributor but nothing. Any ideas on what to check next? The timing marks all line up after I found the top one covered by dirt. Its not mandatory that it runs but would be great to have my gas sipper again, not to mention get back into these little trucks after selling my diesel 4x4's
