Are you using new bearings, have new races installed?? once the bearing is in place it should move some what freely. Maybe the race or bearing has a piece of dirt in it or a bur?

naw the bearings in there are maybe a yr or two old. what are 'races'?

but i wrapped up the bearing and covered the hole of the caliper so that dirt wouldnt get in there.

so theres no dirt in it

what you're calling the bearing in the cone of a tapered roller bearing. the cup is what is commonly referred to as the race.

O OK thanks..i think i get it

and yea i put the bearing on correctly.
i asked if it was necessary that i put new bearings in, since i replaced them for a reason i am not naming(LOL) they are practically new, no more than 2yrs old

sweet stuff yotaman89. tell me how yours is when you put them on and if you get the same 'issue' out of your spindle
