Its different from truck to truck. Most trucks are not the same from the factory.

However, your truck can't lay flat without a Z or sectioned front corssmember. Even if you drag your front crossmember down to the bushings, your frame will still be high in the front.

I beg to differ mine lays flat with no Z Just like I dont have a motor drop but my factory hood still fits on Im down past the pinch Im at rockers

You don't have to. I'm just saying it needs to be done to lay flat frame, and not do a tapered bodydrop. It may only be a 1/2" difference, but to me thats just laziness.

When one end of the floor is higher than the other. As in bodydropping the back of the cab 2", and the front 2.5". Theres a taper in the floor.

My friend did his 4Runner like that. Its 2" in the back, and 3" in the front. IMO he should have made it lay flat and done a 2" bodydrop total.
