Well im workin on layyin my truck out.. started gettin the back half cleaned up to start nothcing. And i got a couple questions on the rear brake setup.. It seems to be alot different than any that ive worked on before. im used to chevys, which have 1 E-brake cable, And 1 hydraulic line, Tee'd off into each rear wheel.. On this truck, t here 2 lines, That seem to run into some type of proportioning valve, And teed off into a single brake hose, Then teed off to each drum. Now theres also some fuckin rod goin from my frame to my axle. almost like a panhard bar, But its like thin ass metal. Wondering what it does, and weather or not i need it..
Also what are you guys doing with the rear brake lines after you notch the frame.. Could i just Tee the 2 rear lines off into a brake hose, and connect it to the T fittign on the axle that goes to the drums?
hers a pic of what im talkin about.
