my 94 - power steering question

well im trying to relocate shit under the hood, and ive got everything but the power steering fluid cap.. if i was to remove the whole thing, hoses and all, but leave the pump where the belt is, would that be ok? if not, how the hell do u do it.. lol

question for u seth... im moving my battery to the bed... what size/gauge wire should i run? and would autozone have some long enuff?
