I like a pipe better for a straight edge cause the flat angle iron causes deflection.
Unless you beveled the bottom which I cant see.

Depends how you use it as a guide. I set it up so that the flat of the trigger sits up against the angle iron. And where I am actually cutting is about 1/2" away from the angle iron. So it doesn't affect the cut at all, and they came out perfectly straight. I'm getting decent at the freehand part too.

damn, you stole that fucker didnt ya. mine's a hypertherm model 600 somethin. love it. freehand is hard to perfect. also, you might try a cheap aluminum straightedge from lowes or home depot. makes a good guide.

about the site being slow, its pretty bad nowadays, i am usually on the mazda forum because i no longer have a yota but got myself a mazda, and overnight there is about 70-130 new posts, i am on here maybe 2 times a week and usually its between 3-25 new posts, TWICE A WEEK, come on guys you can do better!!!
