that truck has stock hinge suicides.
i have stock hinges as well, its not "hard" just a lot more time consuming than a kit

the way im going to do it on my truck is to
1. lop the top of the door frame off
2 section this in half like width ways
3.get a big fat rubber that goes along the entire lip, this is what the window will sit on top of so it dont leak (got this design from my liberty)
4.then weld the frame to the door iwth plates and shit....

im sure there is more to it then that..but thats all i can think of now without actually doing it.

they're talking about putting the glass on the outside, like an eclipse.

i was looking on my friends 240sx and it has the glass on the outside. should i do it like that or have the glass roll up into it

I can see how that sounds easier with the glass on the out side but, would you get a good tight seal?

im not to sure... maybe if i put the rubber far enough out im sure it would.. cause his gets a very tight seal... but rolling the window up into it would be sikk too

I wouldn't do it. I have an MR2 and my windows leak when it rains hard. And my car was made like that. You are talking about having to rig your own kind of sealing system for the glass. If you want to do it, just cut the top off and go with a convertable kit. You'd end up with the same thing. And if you do it, I hope you park it in a garage and don't get caught in the rain. I've seen plenty of extreme modifications, but this is one I'd hold off on untill the rest of the truck is right on, then think about it some more.
