Twisted... this is all your fault...You said i should post a project thread, so here goes-

Guys- im sorry for the super long load time....

Well, i figured id document this for everyone, (including myself) so you know what went into it...

Here we go... The truck was originally owned by an old couple "E&J. Mirandy " in georgia (love for them to see it now...lol) .Someone in GA bought it and moved to Columbus Ohio, had it for a year, and then He "thought" he blew up the motor, so I paid 402.50 for it on ebay, and DROVE it 300 miles home. (ever hear of coolant?)

So heres how she sat as i bought her:

I took the "camper" shell off, ans it sold on ebay for 200.00, so now im 202.50 into this truck....

The next day, i did the static drop, and threw some 17"momo gt2's on her...

That was good for a bit, but bags were a must!

trimmed out the top suspension arms, made bag mounts and got all of the goodies in....

If your wondering about all the orange shit...the previous owner NEVER used coolant. Water ONLY, so yeah, thats rust stains from where the motor would overheat and blow rusty steam everywhere...I had to do a complete flush of the cooling system 11 TIMES to clean it all out!

So, here i am, content for all of 1 month.... now i must change the front end to match my 4runner...this means 4x4 fenders, grille, and a 92-95 4runner front bumper and valance.

I actually found a guy that had the same color truck, but 4x4....he had a bad drivers side window regulator and told me if i bought and installed the regulator, he would let me trade him fenders and grille!!! LOLOL!!!
BUAAAAAA HA HA HA HA, ok, So, for $35.00 plus the front bumper, i was again satisfied!
thread post photo

Now on to the interior....

I yanked the bench...put in some 95 civic buckets, a 87 4runner console, made some fiberglass door panels, and wrapped EVERYTHING in silver/grey tweed, with warm grey dye on all the plastics...

(The infamous PIGLET makes a cameo....)

Once again...happy.
My mini was now straight, bagged, and had the interior.

time for the engine!!

I yanked out the tired old 22r , and had the 84 block i had forever bored .020 over, new pistons, rods, rings and mains installed...and thats just for starters. I then replaced every concieveable part on the engine other than the carb.

About 3 months later, i go get a burger on my lunch break, and the truck makes friends with a dumbass blonde in a full size chevy crew cab dually truck!! DAMMIT!!!!

Well, they tried to total the truck, but after showing them all of the reciepts for everything i had done, they QUICKLY decided to pay.... so with a healthy check on the way, and my desire for TAN going downhill quick, i located a door, and decided it was time for paint.

i do however have a question about that 92-95 4runner bumper. i was told that wouldnt fit the 84-88 w/ modification(i.e.) cutting bumper and valence so it would fit..is that true?? b/c i have the valence and was about to get the bumper like two weeks afterward, but when i found out about the mod i quit that and went on to something else(havent found that something else yet)
vegasyota94   +1y
that is sweet dude... so every time u took piglett out u got into an accident.. lol
phatboislim   +1y
bwahahaha thats grimy vegas, but i think thats the truth lol

Nah, the bumper vonversion is easy.. All i did was :

1Take off the factory bumper and valance...leave the brackets tho.- go buy 4 2" long shiny chrome dome top carrige bolts, and washers and nuts to match. (lowes)<P>
2 bend the "hangie downs" on the front of the front fenders that go behind the bumper flush with the fender bottom.(twords the inside)<P>
3 cut 4 peices of 1/2' steel pipe, weld, (or jb weld) these to the bumper brackets where the bolts go through- these are esentially "spacers"<P>
4 Line up the 95 bumper to the brackets while they are on the truck.. you will have to drill 2 holes in the top of your shiny new bumper where the spacers line up.<P>
5 Drill 2 more holes in the front of the bumper below the "lip" where the spacers line up (these holes and bolts will be covered by the valance when it is put on though..)<P>
6 Space out the bottom of your grille, this can be done with washers and screws, or allthread and washers w/ nuts where the bottom clips on the grille were. space it out to lessen the gap between bumper and grille.<P>
7 Now, the "hangie downs" we bent in before, should be overlapped by the bumper.....drill through the inside of the underside of the bumper corners and through the hangies...bolt and nut them together.<P>
8 drive around and pimp the new bumper.
