A busy week is really all that holds me back from getting this. Long story short my cousins parents filed bankruptcy 10 years ago and we are trying to get it sorted out quietly where I can have the truck in my name.

Its an 85, 22r, 4 speed (can someone confirm this?) standard cab short bed. As far as plans are concerned, It won't get chopped, but it will get a
BD and huge rag top. One piece rear window, front windshield will be replaced with a tinted one, and the motor will be worked on a little. It doesn't run right now, so I am hoping a few adjustments and a tune up will crank it and let it run smoothly. It wasn't staying running when they parked it, but they DID drive it to where it sits as far as I know. I was told that. They said it would crank and not run after that. I don't know what duration of time that was, so I am going in blind really. On to the pics!

looks like a nice candidate for building, I do see some challenges tho. but hey, thats the fun part right....

what type of hurdles do you see? I know nothing about these trucks, and can't find much about them in general as for how to bag them and all. I know its torsions and all, but what does it take to lay an 18 or 19? I want to run my 302, but I don't know if it's good to have a front sump or rear sump. Saw a thread about the later trucks saying front sump was good. I don't know though. I may just get like a dry sump setup and run the motor like that, so it doesn't really get in the way of everything. It all depends!

well, just general cleaning and derusting is mainly what i meant. those trucks rusted pretty bad. and the odometer isnt looking great, but if you swap it, that doesnt really matter that much. dry sump system will be $. I've never put a 302 in a toyota, so i couldnt tell ya much about it. as for bags, look at the project section of the site, most of the lengthier threads have front suspension pics.

i dont mind body work, thats easy. the whole truck is very solid from what I saw. rockers and all are solid still. cab isnt sagging anywhere, neither is the bed. i want to do a 302 swap, but really cant do much about that until i have the truck and can test fit things.
