Okay, I promised Ricky I'd show him this. So I figure I'll show everyone, in case it helps.

He wanted to kno whow difficult it was. So, the hardest part was cutting the stock crossmember out. That was a bitch and a half. Next would be welding upside down. Always lame. Other than that, it was easy. Worked on it pretty much all day, but it turned out nice.

I made it to clear some bigass exhaust tubing. And my header.

Here's the links to the pics since they will be downsized and pixelated.

Thank you! I started the notch and have begun sorting out the front suspension. So I may turn this into my progress thread. A few people had questions about my front crossmember too, so I'll probably document that.

Anyone have any experince with removing the front suspension bushings? Mine are pretty much shot.

Thansk Ricky. You definitely need one of these. I think it's pretty badass. Also like the fact that it's bolt-in, bolt-out. Haven't seen that before. And, my truck being so old, I guarantee I'm dropping it at some point. Lol.

My new front crossmember is cooling down right now. I'll have pictures soon. I should be able to lay my rails flat.

Okay, here's todays work. I finished the front crossmember I'd been talking about. This will allow me to lay pretty much flat ont he ground, without 'Z'ing the frame.

But, I don't like it, and I will be making a new one. I'm not satisfied with it, and it's too close to the pan. So, the next one should look crazy as hell.

Also, started the notch.
