Guy my step notch was done the old school way. it's got 2- 2x3 tube on top of eachother with 1/4 plate for reinforcement down the sides and front and back. Can you say Stupid strong lol. Didn't really have any of this lazer cut stuff back when i did mine. Almost everything i made was with a sawzall,grinder or jigly saw.

what is the paint on the floor inside the cab? is it just brush on sound deadener?

it's bedliner spray, the inside and under the cab is done in it. acts as sound deadening and seals up the floor to help prevent rust.
