haha... okay well maybe it isnt as close to the lugs as i thought.

a buddy of mine took his mazda down to the doors... his fan comes up through the hood... its pretty crazy.

what are your plans for the motor? cut the hood or drop mounts? i know your a fan of stock hoods but maybe the owner likes the cut hood look.

stock > cut > cowl.

I love stock hoods. I even would like the B2600i hood with the little bubble int he middle. And the owner wants a stock hood. But, he doesn't want to pay for it. He wants me to drop the motor for free, I said no, blah blah blah. I'd bet money he decides for the hole in the hood, because a cowl hood would cost more as well.

b2600i hoods are hard to come by. goes nicely with 4x metal tho. i still like the hole better than a cowl hood.

That thing looks sick.

Just got word back, and he surprised me by springing for motor mounts. Which kind of sucks because it would have been much easier to work on with the core support off.

haha...yeah shit starts to add up quick. im sure he's realizing that now. but its too late to pinch pennies when its this close to being done.

i do agree though, i would rather have a cut hood than a cowl one.

speaking of which, seth are you still making dropped motor mounts for the toyota motors?

Lol that how i do mazda's too, Hell i even have a little jig rig'd up to make sure the front bumper mounts all drop at the same point so theres no chance of having anything go off line. How much did ya bodydrop it Seth?

damn thanks for the idea seth you are the freakin man ...i would have never thought of doing that ...when i redo my front ene im gonna do that

Yeah its so easy to do it that way, and I think it looks pretty clean.

Draggintoy, its 2 1/4" drop to the rocker.

Jeff, yes I still make the Toyota mounts. Looks like I might be making Mazda mounts soon too.

Also, I just dropped off the driveline for this thing, to swap to the narrower axle, and talk about an assraping. Its almost $200 to get ti rebuilt at the right length because a u-joint locked up and ovaled out the holes on one end and a new one needs to replace it.
