Who has Parents that HATE LOW rides......

Here's the deal....today I asked my dad if I could lower my truck and all he said was NO because lowering it will be the first step to making it a P.O.S and he has one of those mentalitis to where if he says NO then thats the final answer..but I was wonderng who else has went through this and how did they deal with it?

OHHH i remember them days, my parents told me the same shit so when i moved out and paid the truck off i put bags on it and i went to their house and they bitch and when i left i layed it out going down the drive way and left to long white groves in the drive way from the bolts on the bottom of the frame. but they still say that i'm messing up a good truck

hell my parents (expesaly the old man) thuoght i shuld lift my truck put a bunch of rebel flags on it start cewing taboco and a bunch of outher goofy redneck sht back in the day! lol! sorry to let ya down dad!

hell yeah my parents hate, well really just my dad. he just thinks if it not stock somethings gonna mess up and just give me problems.

I come from a family of lowriders / street rodders and for some reason my parents always had a hard-on for mini trucks? When I would get a new mini their first words were always " your not going to ruin this one are you?" now I'm married and I get it from my wife? Anyways what I would do as a kid is just lower it a little at a time so it wasn't as noticeable. as far as body mods, key it, mess up the paint job yourself, now you have a reason to redo it.

My parents have hated my cars since day one. my mom bitches all the time that they are wastes of money. but they tolerate my hobby that they hate so much because they know i am not only staying out of trouble but i am also building my skills for an industry that i'll certainly be in for a long while. I did get my mom to admit my talon looks good so thats a start. she still hates the cutlass though (probably cause she hasnt parked in her own garage in two years).
