Gussets, gussets, gussets. Everything I build is overkill. Wait until you see my front suspension, its strong as hell.

Easiest way to solve that now is to bend it back, clean the ripped areas and lay down a bead of weld on top. then once it's set, gusset the bottom. Obviously need to weld that entire contraption of upperarm mount/bag mount to where it used to be, so your camber/alignment will not be that off. After that, you should be able to make it to Dublin, or atleast have something to drive.

on my 4 link it happened too. the frame just ripped apart. toyota frames are not very strong, yes they are boxed but not very thick

Well, you're supposed to plate the frame where the 4 link mounts. Yota frames are known to tear, being made of 12 guage.

its cool as soon as i get another vehicle im takin the yota off the road for a week or two so i can get this fixed i see where it just needs some added support(gussets)

just make sure this time around, put lower gussets on the upper bag mount and it'll be fine.

i dont know if you guys cut the hunk of metal there that's on the side of the frame on nick's, because i know rob didnt cut yours johnny, and that's the reason yours can get away with just upper gussets, the entire factory upper control arm structural is still intact, along with your RS52 slam bag which is perfect for that space.

just watching out man, don't want anyone getting hurt that could have been prevented by gussets or plating on the frame
