I've got a question too.... I've read alot of threads but still don't know the answer. For an 84-88 toy do you need to use drop spindles and tubular control arms to lay out or will control arms alone do the job?

I'm looking for the safest, easiest solution to baggin the front.

mine lays on all stock componets hoever i will be getting drop spindles soon

You dont need arms or drop spindles. If you've just got 18s or smaller, I wouldnt recommend drop spindles, the camber looks cool. But if you're going for 20s, drop spindles will keep it moderate.

I'm planning on running 18's.

So if you don't need any custom components to slam the front, I guess you just mount the bag plates like in lotoy86's pic? Is there any reinforcing done to the stock components? What about the torsion bars? Can you still junk 'em? I thought you needed to buy control arms? or am I getting them mixed up with 'A' arms?

It's my truck that will be goin' under the knife this winter, but my friend Dallas from Illconformity will be doing most of the work. He's only bagged an S-10 before and we're researching what needs to be done with 80's imports. Sorry if these questions have been posted + answered before but I'm just not clear....

Tube arms and A arms are the same thing.

Have your buddy ask Corey or Joel for some input. They know what they're doing.

Seth, unfortunately Corey and Joel want nothing to do with this build unless they can do everything themselves in their shop without Dallas, which I won't agree to. I've already committed to having Dallas do it and don't want to go back on my word. I don't want to get into it because I respect all those guys, but for whatever reason they just can't seem to work together right now.

So it's been left up to me to do the research etc. which I'm cool with. I want to be involved as much as possible... I'm just not a fabricator or mechanic so I'm a bit limited to what I can do. Luckily I have this board for advice, which I appreciate.
