If you have a spring shop close to you, why don't you just get your springs de-arched some. I did that when I wanted my truck lower than 3" blocks would do. I had them de-arch them 2"s and it cost me $27.00. The truck road well, I did get some shorter bump stops to keep it from hitting the frame rails (winters in Alaska can be hard on the suspension). Anyway, just an idea to get you lower and maintain some sort of ride quality.

Maybe the shops where you are use a torch, but mine were done cold. I waited at the shop for them to be done, and they were handed back to me cold, with no signs of heat being used. I'm pretty sure they used some sort of press, based on the marks in the dirt on the springs. I drove on them for two and a half years with no sign of stress or fatigue on the spring pack. I know that torching springs is dangerous, and would not have had them do that. The reason I did that over going mono, was because I did not want to loose the load capacity, the job I had at the time paid me extra to deliver safes after work, the gig was good for about $300-$400 extra a month under the table. Anyway, like I said before, I was passing on information

It's all good. I am hoping to bag my truck in the spring. I figure I have to drive it all winter in the snow, so I'll wait until spring to do it. I know what your saying about bills, rent up here is hella high. I live in a two BR duplex with a one car garage and it runs me $1350 a month plus electric and cable. Now, it is a pretty big place, bigger than most places like it up here. The average house up here runs around $310,000, and I can't afford that right now, so I have to rent for the time being. Anyway, with rent and other bills I have, I have a lot of money going out the door every month. Good luck on the bagging, and post some pics if you can.
