Gas Tank in back... under the bed??

Will the gas tank on a 92 ex cab fit under the box at the rear of the truck or will it hit the ground before the truck lays out? Obviously box crossmembers will be notched to get it as high as possible. The brackets will be angled to keep the tank level. just wondering if anyone has kept the stock bed floor when mounting the gas tank in the rear.

I think Rodney's fits under the bed. But you'lll have to get a regular cab tank Joel. The Xcab tanks are too long I think.

It actually fits back there pretty good. The flanges on the tank dont fit between the rails (off by about 1/2") but they have to be below the rails to keep it under the box anyways. we got some mounts tacked in right now, but it just looks like the tank is gonna be real low.

Build a skid plate.

yeah bodydropped bed is a whole nother ball game. i need to keep it under a stock bed on a bagged (not BDd) truck.

aint gonna fit, gonna hang down several inches.
