K thats what i figured. It looks low but the front of the trucks not bagged yet. I thoght maybe that would help out a bit.
Looks like we gotta sell this guy on a fuel cell build.
It just kinda sucks cuz he bought the CanDo universal 'canti' 4 link thats designed to go reverse and wanted it to go reverse so he could save his stock tank. We told him we will not install reverse 4 link, 2 links or any of that. Couple weeks later he came back to us and decided that it could go forwards, so we did, but I was hoping to still be able to save his stock tank for him. And no..he doesnt want it in the box.

I will post up some pics once the trucks all done in another thread. I am pretty happy with it though overall.

You should have tried to talk him into a link setup like I built.

Yeah mine is tucked up under a body dropped bed and doesnt really hang that low...

That looks good Roney, but those shocks arent doing shit for you. You might as well take them off.

The shock angle will get better as the truck lifts it looks like. Still not ideal but I'm sure its better then nothing. haha.

Anyways. yeah a Wishbone like yours would have been ideal. The customer has been buying parts over the last several years it seems (brought us manual valves and stuff too). The 4 link was on its way when he called to set up an install. It sucks because he paid $500 USD for that link setup plus shipping duty etc. hes probably into it for $700. For $200 US for 4 bars from SD, and another $100 CDN in brackets and tabs from me, he could have saved enough money to buy a fuel cell too and had a 4link built specifically to my measurements for his truck.
I'm not hating on the cando link, its all quality parts. But I had to make it work as a forward setup which meant changing a few tabs, and modifying some of the brackets it came with and the bar lengths arent as ideal as I'd like them to be. Could have all been avoided, and had a nice fuel cell, all for the same amount hes already spent.

I've had customers like that too. Just keep him happy. If he gets bitchy it will all go downhill. Lol. I stopped building minibikes because of that.

Yeah we are making as much of his stuff work as possible. But come on.. manual valves and a Viair 280?? he got some weird semi truck tank too. 1 3/4" port, 1 1/4" port and 2 3/8" ports with weird side mounts. no Idea what size it is.
We're using what we can, but also dont want him to end up with something hes not happy with.

Theres a guy locally who makes some nice stuff on the side (made coreys fuel cell) and he does it as more of a hobby then anything. I'm gonna see if he can just build a plain mild steel cell for this guy to use his stock pump and sender I guess.

Think 14 gauge will do the trick?

14 guage is plenty thick for steel, maybe even slightly ecessive. So go for it! Lol.
