bad ride...pls help

alrite guys..im a newb at this...well my bro has a 92 toyota pickup standard cab thats lowered. it sits pretty low...dont know how low exactly, but it does scrape on some road bumps. Anyways, the front of the car was lowered by adjusting the torsion bar...and the rear by drop blocks... He would like to know how to make his ride a little more comfortable. It bounces like crazy and he would like to minimize that. His suspension is still stock. Any suggestions on wat to do? i was thinking of getting toxic shocks. Pls help. thanks

lol..without using airbags/hydros. Just with his "setup" right now...wat would make the ride less bouncy and more comfortable? thanks though

good, new shocks for lowered vehicles is about all you can do aside from bagging it.

or you can raise the torsion back up a little bit to help absorb the ride. when i was runnning static on my 88 i had a 2 in block and the middle leaf removed and cranked the torsions down up front....i kept the front a little higher than the back and it rode fine. it would bottom out in the back over really big bumps or potholes. you can only get so low because once your suspension bottoms out on your bumpstops or frame, its gonna ride like its on a rigid frame. theres nothing there to support the vehicle. ya know?

get drop spindles and raise the torsions

is drop spindles adjustable? why cant i just get aftermarket shocks? thanks anyways

Drop spindles will put it lower. Then you can crank the torsions back up to get it about where you're at right now, but there will be suspension. You're probably hitting the bumpstops, or bottoming out the shocks. I'd get spindles. It will help with tire wear as well. And may as well re-index the torsions while you're doing the spindles to get an even better ride.

and if you get spindles, you wont have to buy them if you ever decide to bag it.
