my truck is a static drp also..but wit drp control...i scrape reflectors off the road..but my truck rubs wen i hit dips and wen i make turn.. im running my stocks wit 60 series tires.. i tried to put 17in rims wit 45 series tires but it rubs like crazy... my ride is good jus the fact that it rubs and cant put 17in rims sucks..

Back in the day, we just drove our trucks that low all the time. My truck was static dropped on 16's. I had dropped spindles and trimmed the bump stops way down and installed belltech drop shocks in the factory location. It rode really well and had very good alignment, considering the front crossmember was less than an inch from the ground and the strut bars were flipped to the top of the lower control arms so the +40 Bellas wouldn't rub the bolts. After I changed to 18's, I just cut out the fenderwells, took the bumpstops out completely, and cranked the torsions down more to get back that low again till I took it all apart for bags and bodydrop.

fuck dude.. i removed the bumpstops, took torsions out and threw away.. had 3 inch bocks and mono leafe in the rear... ran like shit, but i was low..

hey man, my truck is the same way, i got toxic shocks up front and that made a big diff. and i just have stock shocks in the rear with 4in blocks an it seams to be fine but no matter what its still guna be a rough ride, i still have my lower control arms to put in and thats another 3in up front and im notching the rear an taking a leaf out so its guna be a fun/shitty ride till it gets bagged

listen to everyone when they say buy spindles. You can crank the torsion bars back up and allow the truck to go up two inches and have at least some suspension to absorb all the impact from shitty ass roads, and then buy 2in drop spindles that will put him right back to the heigh he's at now, will be just as low and a lot more comfortable. I know how it feels a buddy of mine has a hardbody that is layin on the bump stops up front and its not fun at all

my truck used to have a 5/6 static drop before i bagged it. i had drop spindles also, but adding toxic shocks helped A LOT. i also had the rear notched and it rode pretty good.

Thats also a good idea if your already pretty low in the rear, notch out the rear so your frame doesnt bounce off your rear, buddy did it on his s-10 and cant even feel the bumps anymore.
