so r u saying reuse the existing tank and move it behind the axl. to tell u the truth i have not seen a yot with the stock tank relocated there before. most of the time it"s a aftermarket style. if you got some pics, please post for me.

mine is in the back, though i'm stock floored. it would fit back there with a little work though. nothing major.

this is a 84-88 shortbed tank in my 73. my frame is about 4" narrower then what yours is, so it should fit easily.
