Crazy idea...Grand National V6 swap...

What do you think about that swap, finding the 87 buick grand national or GNX motor and tranny to swap into the yota. i would like to find one and do this swap. it would be crazy. i am in the process of trying to find this engine.

what do you guys think bout that?? wouldnt be as quick as an LS1 but it would be faster than the 22re-t, but cheaper..i duno. HELP would be appreciated, anyone ever priced this engine??

It can be done. Why not go with a motor setup from an older celica?? They drop right in and parts are fairly easy to find.

i cant find the 22re-t thats what i want but finding those arent easy either

A buddy of mine has one in his garage. He ended up droping an ls-1 into it, right before he did his bodydrop.

Is it for sale? I know there was a turbo truck here in town that did a v8 swap, Im assuming you are talking about the same guy.

Ok off the top of my head Toyota had a 4mgte I think that was in the Supra that would make a hell of a swap.The Grand National motors are some coin behind them and dont be fooled by the ones the put in the cyclone or the tsunami ( I think) that was a Chevy 4.3,the Oldsmoblie i think it was a 3.8 is the one your looking for and I think your quest will be harder than a 22rte.I got a 22rte I would part with if ya want it.
