Thanks to everyone who keeps posting on the topic it means a lot to see how many people Matt touched their lives without even meeting face to face, and that's exactly what the scene is about, you don't need to see someone to know they were a genuine and all out great person. It really is hard letting this go, tonight our club had a candle lighting ceremony at the tree. I can say it was one of the hardest things i've had to bring myself to do, harder then moving to a new school and making new friends, harder then any test you can be put to, words can't explain the feeling and the strength of which our club is pulling together throughout this difficult time, we all made a vow that no matter what, every Tuesday night after the meeting instead of going straight to a bar/party, we will go straight to the site and pay respects before all. The hardest part for me tonight was when Big John (his fellow co-worker) laid down the July 2005 issue, without looking twice I walked up and said it was the magazine with my UC Zone feature in it, first recent feature for the club, I lost it when he walked back up and said, "You know...that's not mine, that is Matt's issue" That just doesn't sit well with me, I know Matt was looking down on us tonight, knowing that everyone loved him with all their heart and no matter what we promised to him that we will Pay Respects and Drag by in the right lane, EVERY Tuesday night. Ticket or No Ticket, we are not letting him be forgotten. Everytime I get in my car now I put the video "Deftones - My Own Summer" on, because it was one of his favorite songs and no matter where i'm going, it helps put a smile on my face for 3 minutes and 35 seconds, all after that may be sadness but that's my boy and always will be my boy no matter what. Can't wait to meet you in heaven, I know you will be able to give me direction and guidance, just point me to the garage and we'll be at it again. R.I.P friend, you were a true pal.
