Whats the track width of the rear of a 88 b2200??

sorry, but I never had cause to measure one.

I do know an RX7 IRS rear is an inch or two wider than the stock rear, if thats why you are asking, to find an IRS.

RX7 rear track is 56.7 (acording to interweb) seems like I remember that number. I know that was a hair wider than my mazda rear axle, I think in the 54's....

So am I going to have to get the RX7 IRS shortened?

HAHA I fugured it was IRS related..

No you dont need to shorten it, not only can you get some nice offset wheels for the RX pattern , there is also a beautiful thing called rear negative camber. The wheel/tire will tuck out of the way of the bedside.

I actually bought an RX IRS for my last truck as a mod to put it over the top, but my truck got featured the weekend after, so I never put it on. I went back to school that fall and sold the truck and IRS.



MadLowMazda on SSM has the RX rear on his truck and it is pimptaular. I have been toying with the idea of doing it on mine again.

I bought a 300zx IRS last week... but man those things are freakin wacky... rx7 seems to be the IRS of choice and a lot less work to get it in... so im waiting to find out if I can trade in the 300zx for the 88 rx7 irs.
