do youhave a 4-speed now? All the trannies are the same just bolt them in clutch flywheel and driveshaft from like 80 and up IIRC Celicas will work as well W58 anyone?

Oh also they have to be 2wd not 4wd the transfer case is built into the tailshaft of the tranny

yea i have the homo 4, thanks on the info about the 4wd, i was about to bid on one on ebay...so any w58 tranny correct..thanx

Yeah W58 the 4 spd is good cause it has a lower 1st gear so it will acc quicker you may get dissappointed with a 5spd it won;t feel as quick depending on what gears you get in the trans

i need better gas mileage, but i have heard about a older supra transmission bolting up to our engine, that was the main reason for me asking this question..

yea i kinda know that the 4spd is kinda built more for torque/pulling, so first gear will definitely have better acceleration than the 5spd
