toyota did tell me though that a four speed trans and 22r (e) motor should run fine with no problems at 75-80. but it doesnt sound like it. lol.

The easiest way to run lower rpms would be to change your rear end gears. I know minitruckin did some tech articles on it way back in the day. There is a formula that is used to figure out what gear to switch to, I used to have that issue, but I can't seem to find it right know. I bet you could find it on the internet. Gears will probably cost less and be a lot quicker to change than a tranny. Just my two cents.

Cant put bigger tires on it, not unless i change the gas filler door around.

i run a R154 (5 speed) from a JZA70 supra, was a direct bolt in, and a stronger box than the W58.
