Crate 350's

Im going to buy a new crate for my 90 Silvy. The places around here want 2k. is there anywhere on the net that has good deals? Ive looked at jegs and summit and they are lil cheaper but not much. Thanks guys

Dude ,,,you get what you pay for,, go to your local chevy dealership, bite the bullet, and get the quality shit, and enjoy the warranty. I bought mine from chevy about 6 months ago, and i paid about $1800 + the install and i couldnt be happier with my purchase.

crate doesn't always mean "new", so be careful! it usually means "rebuilt" for less expensive crate motors, and that means that the builder has discretion on what gets replaced and what is good enough for the rebuild... there's usually a reason something is cheaper!

I had a 350Crate in mine but it started smoking right at 3600miles...so I just took another block, made a 383ci at about 475hp for my little S-10..took me and my dad probably 3 hours a day for 3 days to do it..but the GM Performance Crate motors are kickass..just be wary..Id definitely go thru GM Performance if I was going to go get another

I just bought a brand new one this weekend at the dealership. 2200 with a 3 year 100,000 mile waranty... definatly not cheap
