2 piece driveshaft

im havin a time with the 2 piece driveshaft on my truck (f/s ext cab), 4" off the ground or higher the truck is fine, but when it get it lower than that i get alittle vibration, im guessin i should somehow adjust my carrier bearing? i hear about shimming it or changing the angle that its set at, what about that?

oh yea, im running a 235/75/15, like 29" tall.

oh yeah while we're at it my mazda has the same problem since i went from a 17" to a 19" wheel.

might have to adjust the pinion angle on the diff, sounds like it binding,

noope dont think so, the pinion angle on the rear is good, im runnin a parallel 4 link, so it hardly changes at all, im thinking it has somethin to do with the carrier bearin.

is the driveshaft pushing into the tailshaft of the trans?

no, i got all the simple stuff right, this isnt the 1st truck ive bagged, never did one with a 2 piece driveshaft on this size of wheel/tire, i think i remember hearin somethin awhile back on the carrier bearing causin trouble and that you can ajust its height/angle to solve vibration problems.

oh....my mistake. i didnt realize youve bagged trucks before

the shims will raise the bearing up to help with pinion angle. try em.

i might try shimming it tomorrow, just wanted a for sure answer so i only have to get under my truck once
