think about a one piece. the angle of change is going to be less because the whole shaft is moving up and down, not just the back half.

my suburban has eaten one carrier so far( in 6 months) and i wanna do a one piece. i have too much weight and too long a distance(6ft+) but a short bed MAZ will be fine. get a one piece made.

OR

in a few motnhs imgonna have another 2 piece made but the back half is going to be splined to it will slip in and out. im also gonna change the carrier from the hang from the top to the pulled down to the bottom(of the cross member) for added strength. if it still breaks im gonna do rear engine and a v-drive(sure i am)

FYI 65 inches (+ -) is about as long as you want to take a one piece shaft.

we had a one piece made for a 67 long bed chev with about 450 horse 396. its scary but it works. hauls ass too

hm...... my ext cab has a slip yoke at the carrier bearing, if that helps you find a driveshaft to work from.

A 1 piece shaft will also hit your cab or crossmember under the bed faster than a 2 piece. Get this carrier and keep the 2 piece, vibration is one thing a wobbling 12 foot shaft is another. Assuming you have a 8ft. bed and about 4 to the tranny.

Yeah your stock already has a slip.

that pic you have of the yellow bushinged carrier is what im goign to switch to. what i have now is cheesy and all vibro.

and cris....thats the idea. even the old shit....the pickups have splined shafts but for whatever reason my burb does not.

my GF doesnt complain about my 12ft wobbling shaft...

I bet she doesn't, that's enough meat to feed Ethiopia.

maybe thats why she broke up with me like a few months ago....
