I found a set of those 16" GMC Sierra Chrome rims and am wondering....they do fit right? all i have to do is grind the tabs off my hubs? or is that just for the escalade rims? Because I looked at the back fo the GMC rim and its as flat as my 14" mazda rim...just need to be sure.

Thanks

ive seen the gmc wheels on an isuzu so i dont see why there should be a problem puttin them on your mazda

Make sure you get the whole wheel, not just the rim.

i bought gmc wheels and had to get the centres (yes that's spelt the canadian way) drilled out to 3", they fit mint with the factory gmc wheel nuts with the larger tapered edge. lorez

escalade rims are 35mm negative offset.the biggest rim you can put on there that isnt aftermarket.the center bore on gm wheels is not big enough.dont wastse your time just do a 5 lug conversion. the front hubs can be redrilled for 5 on 4.5 and you can run a toyo rear end.Do it right the first time because the conversion will cost you less than the investment in rims machining and tires. I know this from exp. i just got rid of my escalades and while they did tuck great up front and in back they rubbed a little,it wasnt worth it.Run the stockies and save up for a conversion or buy expensive ass custom billets.if you do the conversion your rim choices are much more vast.

its like +24 on a 6 inch wide wheel

but that means nothing when you are looking for wheels.

You'll need +32 on a 7, ~+38 on a 7.5, ~+45 on an 8....

Offset is tied to width, a +40 offset 7.5 inch wheel will tuck like crazy, a +40 8 inch wheel will not.

So if you are picking rims, know the offset AND the width.

Ok well..im not really looking to tuck...im gonna be putting in a 305 so the extra weight along with cranking the torsion bars down should give me the drop that I am looking for in the front. And in the back im gonna run 3" blocks and pull a few leafs. I'm basically looking for the look of the front and back being level. Uhh the top of the tire pretty much level with the fender's so that they are just...just...inside...know what I mean? I would like to buy a set from aewheel.com because they are the cheapest of aftermarket rims in my town. Russ...could you take a look on there and see if there are any rims I could buy that would fit alright?

And when you mean by running a toyota rear-end...how would I do that?
