I think it's fine for people to want to keep their ideas to themselves. Heck, It's the American way, thats why we have patents. We don't want a bunch of punks rolling around with the same mods as true minitruckers just because someone made a "how to article" about it.

Thank you for sayin that!

If he wants to keep his secrets to himself....so be it. If he doesnt want to tell anyone else then he shouldnt be called a bitch. Why should he tell anyone...so then everyone will have the same mod?? IF you were the first one to do this mod im pretty sure you wouldnt want to share either....his truck stands apart from all the other yotas out there right now because of the STOCK HOOD. Why should he give his secret away? Just so you could do the same mod?? Isnt this lifestyle all about being different? You cant hate the guy for doin something that you havent....

Why don't you go out in the garage and figure it out? Just because someone went to the work to figure it out, that doesn't mean they have an obligation to tell you. He didn't have anyone standing there telling him what to do, HE FIGURED IT OUT HIMSELF!

My Mazda has a stock hood and its 1/2" into the doors. It wasn't that hard, and I've never seen anyone else do it. Use your head and figure it out.

Calling him a bitch is a bit much...Like it was said before...nobody was in the gargage with him showing him along. It doesnt make him cooler or anything, just sets him apart from the others for the time being. There will be another minitrucker that will sit in their gargage for countless hours cutting shit up for it to work.

First for this or that is relative. But I do know that you can BD a toyota with EFI to almost 4" with the stock hood. It's all a matter of relocating and sectioning the oilpan, raising and shaving crossmembers and lowering the engine. Using a stock front suspension without have the crossmembers raised or drug down will always make something sit higher or need a bigger BD. My truck is cut 2 1/4" and sits like a 3" because I'm missing alot off the front frame and it almost lays oilpan. Anyone can bodydrop a truck 5" takes real fabrication to make a stock hood fit.
