I want a blue pearl color for my ford ranger, but im totally stuck on what blue to pick. i just really want a blue that stands out when i see it, something like a candy-effect but i heard candy is hard to spray and all... Just no really light blues or anything.. Any suggestions or pictures please post them, even other colors or ideas (2 tones, graphics, etc) you think would look good on a 1994 ford ranger splash(stepside bed) thanks a lot i really appreciate it cuz im really stuck right now on what i want.. thanks

kandy is more difficult to spray(IMO) go to your local autoparts store and ask if they sell PPG and look through their color book RADIENCE is a very nice brand of paint and has a lot of blues to choose from. i think an electric blue with white pearl in it would look very clean if u dont over-do the pearl. i hate choosing colors it seems like no matter what your mind gets set on u'll see somethin and then u'll have second thoughts....thats how it is with me anyway....goodluck

Either the 350z Blue or Viper Blue i love those 2... but then again its all in what u want. My buddy just did his dash with some Viper Blue in it and it looked awesome in sunlight.

candys are more difficult but they are worth the extra effort. radience by ppg is a very well thought out system. very easy to use but you will still have to have some experience to use it. im not saying that it cant be done but just that you might want to spray a few junk parts and small parts before attempting to spray the whole truck. you might want to look into house of kolor. they have a newer line of paints that i believe are called "kwik kandys". the only bad thing about using house of kolor is that their clear coats suck and their products are so far behind the times in terms of paint technology its pathetic. the kwick kandys are a base coat clear coat with a candy paint effect. im not sure how they work but the house of kolor rep for upper Michigan told me that they spray out alot easier and you dont have to worry as much about tiger stripes (light and dark stripes in the paint) and dark edges from candy buildup around the edges of your panels. i hope that helps a little. in my opinion ppg or basf are the ways to go. house of kolor is nice but 20 years behind. good luck oh yeah and i believe its called cloisonete blue by ford with silver two tone seperated by lime green. it may sound nasty but looks unbelievable together. good luck

Peep my accord with the Long Beach Blue. I get a lot of compliments with that. Dont worry about having the same color as me though cause Im going to change it soon anyway. Laters -

My truck is PPG Cool Blue. You can check it out on my profile or I can send you more detailed pictures directly if that would help. I don't know if that is a lighter shade than what you're wanting, but it seems to show well. Good luck...
