There was a forum on this it had a picture of how the angle should be?Is there an angle tool of how much angle you should need?
The picture is just a reference, not an exact angle. If you are referring to a single driveshaft, find the angle of the tranny output, and set the pinion angle to the Equal Opposite Angle. So for example, if the tranny points DOWN 2 Degrees, Set the pinion pointing UP 2 degrees. Do all of this at ride height of course.
As for the tool, most people use the $10 angle finders from Lowes/Home Depot/Ace.
If I left anything out im sure others will help out and add to it. 2 Piece driveshafts are a little more confusing. Hope I helped some.. good luck.
Ok if I had the angle tool,do I place this on the driveshaft closes to the rear differential?Iam confused as hell now.
I unbolt the driveshaft at that end to save confusion. Sure there might be flat spots on the housing, but i dunno if its exactly the same as the pinion. Unbolt it, hold the angle finder flat against the nose of the differential.
where the u joints bolt to?
yea, once you have the driveshaft unbolted.. well at least on my yota and my friends hardbody, youll be looking at just a circle piece that it bolts to.. and its flat.
did you get my PM earlier?
Yeah I got it,It will probly be close to november before I will be able to get the fittings, but I will def get ahold of you man on it.probly on all the baggs valves,etc....Man can or could you submit a tech article, lol iam illiterit
What do you need a tech article on, if its the basics of air ride.. check this site out, it helped me when i first started learning. Bagginit.com also just keep asking questions, no matter how simple they might be.
Hey Ricky and libtecguy145 thanks,Hell it might get you a free extended silver membership,or is that out like the free tees?
